Height & Weight: 5'-8'' 170-175 contest, 180-190 Off Season
As a middle school and high school student I was always overweight from trying to gain size for football. Not knowing anything about healthy eating, I just ate bad food to gain more and more pounds. By the end of my senior year in high school I topped out at 230 pounds.
During my sophomore year in college a good friend of mine did a natural bodybuilding show and weighed in at 159. I knew at that point being 230 pounds and ripped to shreds was not in my future.
I decided that I wanted to compete and it took a full year to get down to 154 pounds on stage. I won 4th place in two shows and also took home a best posing trophy in my first contest.
Since then (Nov. '04) I have been hooked and this year I plan to compete at 170 - 175 at the same bodyfat. I have dedicated much of my free time to putting on lean mass while staying lean and my goal is to compete until I achieve pro status.
Seeing my friend compete natural at 159 pounds and looking the best he has ever looked was my inspiration.
I competed in the ANBC - Nov. '04, INBF Monster Mash - Nov. '04, NPC Mr. CT - Nov. '05, and now getting ready for Musclemania Atlantic - May '06.
My trainer is John Yobst of Lean Physique in South Windsor he is my coach, my mentor and a good friend. John Yobst continues to help me on and off season and I will continue to train with him as long as I reside in Connecticut.
I work and train at North Haven Health and Racquet in North Haven, Connecticut.
I have gone from 25% bodyfat to as low as 2.5% and maintain 5-7% year round. I look and feel better than I ever have in my entire life.
Bodybuilding has helped me get the confidence to take my shirt off and know that I look 100 times better than I did 6 years ago.
My goals are to achieve as many pro cards as I possibly can and competing at 100% no matter what. My diet consists of 6 meals per day, most Carbs in the morning and post workout, smaller meals at night.
My Favorite Cheat Meal is Pancakes, grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich and of course beer.
My workout schedule is 5-6 lifting days per week, 1-2 body parts per workout, 5-7 days a week cardio (sometimes two a days for pre contest), one full day of rest.
I am currently the Fitness Manager at North Haven Health and Racquet.
My goal is to own my own multi purpose fitness facility and/or a healthy and gourmet restaurant.
I played Football in high school and college.
I'd like to thank my parents for always coming to my shows and being supportive even when I don't eat all the food on Sunday and my older sister Jordona who is my other best friend and will support me and be my cheering section. Plus my brother-in-law who will one day be on stage next to me. My whole family is always supportive.
Fitness is my hobby, I do like to travel and ski as well.
My challenge is working a 55 hour work week in a health club which makes training myself sometimes difficult.
