Patricia Koziol

Hello everyone! I'm Patricia Koziol and thanks for reading up on my past accomplishments I'll be adding more very soon, so bookmark this page and come back often!

Birth Date - January 20, 1973

Residence -
Dracut, Massachusetts

Marital Status - Married on May 22, 1999

Height - 5"1'

Weight - 98 lbs (Contest & Off-Season, I just lower my body fat for a competition)

Favorite Foods - Sushi and Chicken Fajitas

Why I started competing - To take my body and my training to the next level.

Why I continue to compete - It's a way to stay on track and stick to my original goals of taking my body and training to the next level. By competing I have a date marked on the calendar, and I strive to make improvements to my physique from contest to contest. When I step on stage, I'm competing against myself and not the other competitors. Also, because of the many friendships that have blossomed along the way.

Favorite Exercise - Bicep curls; my biceps respond quickly so I love to train them.

Least Favorite Exercise - Squats; although I love to work my legs and see them develop, I loath the actual exercise.

Fitness Goals - To earn 1st place in a Ms. Bikini America Regional Event this year, perform my first fitness routine within the first half of 2004, and earn my personal training certification.

I eat six small meals a day Sunday through Friday varying from the following…egg whites, chicken, salmon, tuna fish, cantaloupe, white rice, broccoli, plain baked potato, walnuts, rice cake with almond butter, and a protein shake meal replacement. On Saturdays I might splurge and have a cheese omelet for breakfast and a chicken fajita for lunch.

A typical day looks something like this…

6:30 a.m. (pre-weight training) -1/4 cup Frosted Flakes with a glass of water with Glutamine

8:00 a.m. (post-weight training) - Protein Shake with Creatine

8:30 a.m. (breakfast) - 6 egg white omelet, 1/4 cup white rice, cantaloupe

11:00 a.m. (snack) - 1 can tuna fish with 1/4 cup rice

1:00 p.m. (lunch) - ½ cup chicken breast, 1/4 cup rice, broccoli/mixed vegetables, and a hand full of walnuts

3:00 pm. (snack) - protein shake, rice cake with almond butter

6:00 p.m. (dinner) - chicken breast or salmon filet, 1/2-baked potato, broccoli/mixed vegetables

9:00 p.m. (before bed snack) - protein shake and a rice cake

I weight train 5 mornings per week.

Monday through Friday I train each body part once per week, except abs which I train twice a week.

Every 4 weeks I change the body part combinations.

I lift heavy using a 4-6 rep range. My cardio is always done in the evening.

Off-Season I do three 20/30-minute sessions, and pre-Contest I increase my cardio to four or five nights per week with the sessions remaining at 20/30 minutes, and I closely monitor my calorie intake.

Thank You

To my husband Bobby who has been my best friend, confidant, and main supporter (and sometimes my only supporter) since we met 15 years ago. Thank you for encouraging and supporting me every step of the way. Thank you for training with me, and keeping me motivated and focused every day of the year.

To Chris thank you for your support, encouragement, and putting up with my nutrition lectures and strange eating habits I know how much you hate me bringing a cooler to all of your sporting events - - thanks again for your understanding.

To my Mom who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when I was 2 years old. You've helped me realize the importance of not taking things for granted, and how anything can be taken from us at anytime. I've finally learned to set goals and work hard to achieve them while I have the opportunity to do so.

To Don, I know I don't say it often enough, but thank you for taking care of my Mom.

To Kerrie and Paul thank you for your friendship, kindness and for always over-extending yourselves and thanks for putting up with my eating habits and crazy gym schedule.

To Claira and Bill - Thank you for your friendship, and all the fun and laughs we've shared. Three cheers for Skullet!

To Cathy Savage and Linda McLaughlin for helping to make my dreams come true. Thank you for all of the advice, encouragement, and posing sessions.

To Brian Cannone - Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and professionalism with Fitness Atlantic and New England Fitness Weekend.

Thank You to Todd Ganci for your excellent photography the Fitness Atlantic Pageant and Fitness New England Pageant.

To PowerHouse Gym in Methuen, Massachusetts - I'd like to thank the staff and clientele for all of their support.
