Fitness Competitor Melissa Hall
Full Name: Melissa Faye Hall
Something interesting few people know about Melissa: She has a twin sister, whom she thinks looks more like her older brother Jay. She loves football, and she considers herself a tomboy.
As the 2004 Mrs. Minnesota America, Fitness America contestant, and former professional Vikings and Timberwolves cheerleader, Melissa Hall, has plenty of reasons to stay in peak physical condition. But the most important motivation comes from caring for her terminally ill mother in 2003. "While fitness has always been an important part of my life, I want to be able to reach people to help them live healthier lives," she says. Her goal to extend her influence into the mainstream is what prompted the newlywed to enter the Mrs. America competition. "I loved that I was able to promote my platform for health and fitness: being proactive about going to the doctor, and being conscious and consistent with your health care starting in childhood to thwart health concerns."
It will be nice to take a break after FAP and focus on family time, I'm still in awe to have finished first out of the toughest competition I have ever competed.
I'm very please to announce that I have recently signed with Muscletech. It was a welcomed opportunity to be affiliated with such a reputable company and a bonus since I have previously used and enjoyed their products. I look forward to working with them and promoting the importance of using Muscletech supplements. Not only do they work, but also they taste great.
I have continued to do choreography for upcoming fitness competitors. I assisted with two routines. I plan on continuing to help competitors and hope to judge or emcee future FAP events.
I wish the best to all of you…and remember to always follow your dreams. Dedication & preparation are the tools for success in fitness!
Melissa plans to end her competition career after the 2005 Fitness Universe Pageant. Excelling at her job as Operations Manager for Fox Sports Net and supporting her husband's new fitness center, YoungQuest Fitness, leaves little time for competition prep. "Plus, I'm ready to start thinking about a family," she says. But whether she's competing or not, Melissa will maintain her stage-worthy shape with her consistent nutrition and training program.
