I ran track throughout my four years of high school and two years in college. With such a competitive track background, I needed something else that would satisfy that hunger of competing. Something that would be just as physically challenging as a track athlete, I was told by several people I should consider competing one day. At the time, knowing little about bodybuilding it went in one ear and out the other. Until one day, I decided to do some research on figure and entered my first figure show in 2002.
No one inspired me in particular but the sport itself. Once entering the world of figure and now bodybuilding, I feel like I'm doing what I was made to do, show the world that as a female bodybuilder, yes you can be sexy, yes you can be feminine and yes you can shut the show down NATURALLY.
I competed in the 2002 Bev Francis-Figure 3rd 2003 USBF Silver Cup- Figure 1st place 2003 USBF Natural Pro-Am- Figure 3rd place 2005 USBF Silver Cup- Bodybuiding 1st place 2006 NPC Tournament of the champions -1st place (Over all) 2006 NPC Bodyrock-Bodybuilding- 2nd place.
I hired someone who trained figure athletes at the time, as I knew nothing about the sport first starting out. Now my best friend/training partner David Christiansen trains me.
I work out at Gold's Gym-Glen Burnie, Maryland.
I use HDT whey protein Glutamine to supplement my diet.
The results I have achieved are that I have put on a lot of quality muscle mass since transitioning from figure to bodybuilding.
I feel fitness has changed my life to the fact that I'm more aware of what I put in my body.
My goal is to step on the Ms. Olympia stage as a natural bodybuilder
My diet is pretty simple and consistent. It consist of oatmeal, protein, potatoes, chicken, brown rice and more protein. My favorite cheat meal when I'm in pre-contest dieting is Pizza Hut pizza and Buffalo wings.
I train one body part per day except legs which I do twice a week.
I work in rehabilitation facility assisting physical therapists
To get into fitness modeling. To graduate with my BSN and work as a nurse.
Other sports I have done are Track and field- High school and College Gymnastics- Junior High school.
I have a great support network between my family, friends and co-workers as well as gym mates. I want to give a great big thanks to my best friend, whom I love dearly, who has supported and believed in me even when I doubted myself, Dave. I love you always. Deniz helped me with my diet for the Bodyrock 2006.Because of her I was able to witness my potential first hand and now have proof that I can take it to the next level. Because of her I was in the best contest condition I have ever been in. Big thanks for her. I have to thank my mother for all those pre-contest diet meals she prepared for me.Love you mommy. You are my Heart. And the rest of my family for their love and support.
I also enjoy writing and listening to poetry.
