Fitness Competitor Amy Nigrelli
I have always loved the fitness, figure and model industry. I first got started when I competed in fitness in 2006. It was such a powerful and inspiring event for me, and from then on I was hooked. I was fortunate enough to meet my coach and friend Cathy Savage, who provided me with that outlet to achieve my goals. It takes a lot of determination, drive, sacrifice, and discipline but that is what makes the process of competing so unique and rewarding. The best reward of all though is meeting so many new friends and teammates along the way, who provide a level of support and understanding that is unparalleled. The journey is what makes you a stronger competitor and teammate.
Along with my nutrition program, I have gotten into the best shape of my life - both physically and mentally - and I have done it in a healthy way. It is a process and I still continue to learn and grow. I am proud to say I am a 100% natural athlete. I eat about five to six mini meals a day consisting of lean protein, complex carbs, veggies, and fruit. I also drink a gallon of water a day. I make sure I get the proper nutrients so that my hair, face, nails and teeth are also healthy looking.
My philosophy on fitness is to maintain a healthy balance between work, school, training, eating right and spending time with friends and family. I hope that I can inspire women to focus on their inner beauty first and cherish what they have been given; and also to continually strive for a positive, healthy lifestyle and know that the challenges we go through in life will just make us stronger.
I am now privileged to be doing what I love - being a part of the Savage staff. I aspire to be a role model to other women and girls by helping them to be confident in themselves and know that any dream and goal is possible with the right knowledge, resources, support, drive and most of all... heart.
